Zusammenfassung

The hypertensive inbred mouse strain, BPH/2, has high blood pressure early in life, compared with its hypotensive BPL/1 and normotensive BPN/3 controls. The present study analyses, by immunohistochemistry in the adrenal medulla, the expression of catecholamine biosynthesis enzymes and chromogranin A in hypertensive mice (BPH/2). We have found immunoreactive material for TH, DBH, PNMT and (ChA) at all studied ages in the adrenal medulla of hypertensive mice. To compare the hypertensive with normotensive mice at 200 postnatal day of age, the TH immunoreactive material was lightly decreased in the BPH/2 adrenal medulla, but DBH and PNMT immunoreactive material were increased. The ChA was similar in the both groups. Our results are similar to the described by the others authors that stated chromogranin A and noradrenalin that were diminished in BPH mice with respect to de control but different than the results described in the hypertensive rats (SHR). We conclude that different expression of chromogranin A and the alteration of the catecholamine is a variable feature of mammalian hypertension.
