Abstract

Communication guerrilla activists often detour dominant messages as a tool to uncover their latent meaning, hidden in non ideological commercialized politics. Influenced by avant-garde and situationist détournement, election campaigns have been a suitable scenery for party and candidates' images and slogans deviation before the public opinion. Some of these examples at the United Kingdom election in 2010 show not only the move of this activity from the streets to Internet, but also the current appropriation of alternative strategies by dominant actors. This appropriation reinforces evenmore the spectacular character of nowadays election campaign.
