Abstract

Surface deposits are the most representative of the archaeological context of high mountain in Tenerife, having been registered a high number of them in the inventories of the Teide National Park. However, archaeological interventions in such deposits have been very slim. In the recent excavation in Chasogo-2 (Guía de Isora) has recovered a set of lithic pieces of coarse-grained rocks that are currently under study from the perspective of the morphopotentiality. So far, a greater amount of stone chips that evidenced instruments. This fact, together with the information derived from the excavation, points to a more complex functionality for the structure.
