AB  - The objective of present study is a survey of the literature based on the empirical studies of the different aspects that configure the financial behavior of the firm, to put in manifesto usefulness and limitations of financial and economic information content on data bases.

The economical and finacial data base made with accounting information from different institutions has made possible the publication of the important bases of data, designated, in some instances, "central of balances". These data bases have been the origin of a meaningful investigating activity on the firms, that permits a most certain knowledge of their economic reality by activity sectors.
