Abstract

The basis of the crystals growth technique of Czocheralski are presented in this paper and its most characteristic details are commented. The obtaining of a single crystal of NaCl doped with Co is described. Beginning with a melt of NaCl with O. 7 % of CoC12 , a beautiful crystal of aproximately 2.5 * 2.5 * 4 cm3 was achieved . The presence of Co~ ions in the lattice is detected using spectroscopic techniques.
