Abstract

Concentrations of Na, K, Ca and Mg in condensed, evaporated, uperized and powdered milks, the rates Na/K and Ca/Mg andthe correlations Na-K and Ca-Mg, are determined. The concentrations obtained for the various types of milks are ordered following the sequence: powdered major than condensed, condensed major or equal than evaporated and evaporated major than uperized. The rates Na/K and Ca/Mg are constants for all types of milks and are 0,3 and 12 respectively. The intermetallic correlations show a dependence between Na and K on the one hand and Ca and Mg on the other hand.
