Abstract

Mercury is a toxic metal characterized by the tendency tobioaccumulation and biomagnification on the trophic chain.The human activities like mining, chlor-alkali plants, paperand electric industries are the main responsible to theincrease on the mercury levels in environment. It beingmore interesting, the mercury in fishes in particular, theblue-fishes, and the intake of them by human, whom is themost exposing to the highest mercury concentrations.
