Abstract
Indicators are the most frequently used tools to evaluate the progress towards Sustainable Development. This paper presents a methodological model that integrates techno-scientific (Top-down) and participative (Bottom-up) approaches within a same framework for developing a local sustainability indicator system. The author proposes the need to analyze the underlying communicative and information transfer processes of a multi-stakeholder interaction context.
