Abstract

Aphasia is an acquired brain disorder that affects language and communication skills. This disorder generates a considerable impact on the quality of life of those who suffer from it. Aphasia is related to a greater probability of developing psychological manifestations such as depression and anxiety; however, there is little evidence on which psychosocial problems are most frequently diagnosed by primary care nurses in people with aphasia (PWA). The main objective of this study is to identify the NANDA-I diagnoses related to the psychosocial sphere that are most frequently diagnosed by primary care nurses in this patient profile according to records in the electronic clinical record (ECR). Method: A cross-sectional descriptive study was carried out with data extraction from the Drago-AP ECR, corresponding to a sample of 47 people with a diagnosis of aphasia. Results: The diagnosis of depression was recorded in the ECR of 22 participants as an active problem at the time of the study. 27 NANDA-I diagnoses related to the psychosocial domain were recorded.
