Abstract
The promotion of entrepreneurial activity is crucial for economic and social development, especially in peripheral regions where business creation can overcome obstacles and stimulate progress. This study analyzes differences in the perception of institutional factors in peripheral and central entrepreneurial ecosystems through a T-Student test applied to 1,007 experts from the 2019 National Expert Survey of the GEM in Spain. The results indicate that the characteristics of peripheral areas significantly influence entrepreneurial spirit, guiding strategies to promote entrepreneurship in these areas.
