I am a philosopher and social scientist. My academic work lies at the intersection of ethics, epistemology, social and political philosophy, sociological theory, human rights, and the philosophy of liberation. My research critically examines modernity, neoliberalism, contemporary forms of domination, and the epistemological, ethical, and political conditions of communal life. I have taught at the undergraduate and graduate levels in philosophy, sociology, and the social sciences, with a particular focus on ethics, sociological theory, social and political philosophy, human rights, the study of religion, and intercultural and interreligious dialogue. My research has developed around four main areas: the constitution of modern identity; the critique of neoliberalism from the perspective of human rights; the relationship between dialectics and realism within the framework of the philosophy of liberation; and the critical analysis of enactivism and contemporary cognitive sciences from an ethical-political perspective. I am currently conducting research in critical political economy, engaging in dialogue with David Harvey and Enrique Dussel, focused on the relationship between capitalism, life, living labor, exteriority, and social suffering. I am the author of Planned Misery: Human Rights and Neoliberalism (2019), Mind and Politics: Dialectics and Realism from the Perspective of Liberation (2024), and Life in History: Beyond Biology, Phenomenology, and the Cognitive Sciences (2026, forthcoming). In addition to my European academic background and training, I have studied Buddhist philosophy at academic and monastic institutions in India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Southeast Asia. This formation included four years of training devoted to solitary contemplative practice retreats, which have contributed an experiential dimension to my work on Buddhist philosophy and contemplative practices. During my years teaching at the University of Salvador in Buenos Aires, I also deepened my study of liberation theology and philosophy, actively participated in dialogue spaces with priests committed to the preferential option for the poor, and was appointed consultant to the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the Government of the Argentine Republic. This trajectory has enriched my work on religion, secularization, migration, intercultural and interreligious dialogue, and human rights.
