Docteur à l Universidad Complutense de Madrid avec la thèse Conectividad funcional en registros de magnetoencefalografía aplicada a demencias 2011. Dirigée par Dr/a. Miguel Sancho Ruiz, Dr/a. Alberto Fernández Lucas.

After seven years of experience as product engineer in the private sector, I began my research career in Cognitive Neuroscience at the Magnetoencephalography Center of the Faculty of Medicine (University Complutense of Madrid, Spain). Since then, more than 40 international publications and 4 book chapters among other merits, endorse my dedication to the study of electrophysiological time-series through the named Functional Connectivity and the understanding of dynamical functional complex networks in the human brain. The term Functional Connectivity was coined to describe how brain regions are coordinated to support higher cognitive functions. It reflects the statistical interdependencies between two physiological signals, providing information about functional interactions between the corresponding brain regions. In the last 10 years, its use in Neurosciences has been increased considerably. In addition, I have combined this research activity (since 2011) with teaching: first in the Department of Mathematics at the Faculty of Education of the International University of La Rioja (2011-2015), later at the Isabel I University (Faculty of Education, Mathematics Department, 2015-2016), at the Open University of Catalonia (UOC) (Faculty of Psychology, 2017-2020), and finally (from 2017-2020) in the Biostatistics Department, at the Faculty of Medicine of the Complutense University of Madrid.
