Título: Tratamiento quirúrgico del neumotórax espontáneo primario. Estudio comparativo entre el abordaje por pleuroscopia y por toracotomía axilar. Estudio clínico-quirúrgico, multicéntrico y randomizado en pacientes con neumotórax espontáneo primario, con el objetivo de determinar coste y efectividad de la videotoracoscopia (pleuroscopia) frente a la toracotomía axilar. Se concluye que ambas técnicas ofrecen resultados análogos, con mayor dolor en la videotoracoscopia y similar número de recurrencias, complicaciones y gasto sanitario en ambas técnicas. Title: Surgical treatment of the primary spontaneous pneumothorax. Comparative study of the approach by pleuroscopy and axillary thoracotomy. Surgical clinical, multicentral and randomized study of patients with primary spontaneous pneumothorax, aim at determining the cost and effectiveness of the thoracoscopy versus the axillary thoracotomy. The study shows that the two techniques provide similar results, with increased pain using the videothoracoscopy and similar number in terms of recurrences, complications and health spending with any of the techniques.
