Abstract

This paper describes the presence on the Fuerteventura Island (Canary Islands) of two female octopuses that, by their morphological characteristics, could correspond to the so-called Palmate octopus or Blanket octopus (Tremoctopus v. violaceus). Since, they are provided with a long webs semi-transparent membranous, connecting the dorsals and dorsolaterals arms. The other arms, ventrals and ventrolaterals, are shorter and lack of webs.
