Abstract

An important area of attention in university education, closely linked to quality management, has to do with the orientation and information processes for students. Both in the regulations currently regulating university education and in the Statute for University Students, the need for university centers to have programs of guidance and support for students, to facilitate their integration into university life and achieve their objectives, is included. Likewise, in the course commissions of the different degrees there is a need to improve the information to students about different aspects related to their training process. To respond to these needs, the School of Education of the University of La Laguna has developed an institutional project throughout the academic year 2017-2018 to improve academic and professional guidance, with activities aimed at students of all courses and degrees. At the organizational level, a planning of sequenced activities has been carried out, distributed throughout the two quarters. In the development of the project have participated professors from different Departments that teach in the Faculty. The level of participation and satisfaction of the students in the different activities has been high, considering that it has served them to obtain more information about the degrees taught in the Faculty, external internships, mentions and itineraries, the planning of the study, the mobility programs, the preparation of the future professional and entrepreneurship.
