Abstract

The stories generated by pupils with Specific Language Impairment (SLI) have significantly fewer cohesive relationships. This fact produces not unified narrations, which can cause even certain breaks in the understanding by the listener. The aim that has been set in the present study was to determine and compare the performance in the mechanisms of cohesion in the narratives of pupils with SLI and two groups of school children with normal language development. The results confirm a worse use of the mechanisms of cohesion in the group with SLI.
