Resumen

La investigación estudia las aspiraciones de 3.987 adolescentes respecto al empleo por cuenta propia y la incidencia de las variables sexo, edad, nacionalidad, nivel educativo, rendimiento, ubicación y titularidad del centro. El análisis de datos se realizó utilizando el Modelo Logit. Los resultados indican que las aspiraciones de los alumnos de trabajar por cuenta propia se incrementan si son extranjeros, estudian en una escuela pública, cursan un nivel educativo inferior y tienen un bajo rendimiento académico. Los resultados no han sido estadísticamente significativos para las variables sexo y edad. Los programas de estudios y de orientación educativa y profesional deben promover el espíritu empresarial como una forma de estimular la creatividad en los jóvenes.
