Abstract

This doctoral thesis analyzes the quality of the music schools of the Balearic Islands. It aims to determine the evolution and current situation of these centers, in order to design an assessment tool which fits the model of music lessons they teach as well as assessing the present reality of the music schools in terms of quality. In addition, this thesis collects other variables that influence the quality and performance of the centers so as to have a broader view of their situation. As a result, our research proposes a system of indicators based on the CIPP model as a tool to analyze the situation of music schools in terms of quality, apart from identifying their strengths and weaknesses in order to submit various proposals to improve their flaws.
