Abstract

This work is a continuation of the one entitled «Creation of content for mobile devices: English-Spanish glossary of Photography terms» (Pérez & Río, 2016), which is the outcome of the project carried out during the academic year 2014/15. Once we have shown the feasibility of creating a smartphone application as an aid to certain learning processes, this new project aims to keep fostering the acquisition of specific photography terms in both English and Spanish through the incorporation of technical improvements and the design of new learning activities. The second version of the application, enriched with additional terms and the insertion of audio files, has been employed in specific learning situations. The previous activity, which consisted in a visit to an exhibition, has been redesigned, thus involving a more intensive use of mobile devices during the completion of the task. Furthermore, we have introduced a new activity on the Moodle virtual classroom by means of the collaborative work module called «Workshop», which facilitates peer-assessment and helps to reinforce the acquisition of technical concepts and terms.
