Résumé

Unemployment is one of main problems which began to affect our country because of subprime mortgage crisis. It was the end of unprecedented speculative rise. In the Canary Islands, land that it lives of tourism, the blow was harder than in other places. The figure of unemployed in the forth term of 2007 was of 112,000 and grew until 223,600 in 2008 (almost twice). Specialists in this subject have identified unemployment and labour precariousness like a factor of social exclusion; however, we want to check what relationship there is between unemployment, social exclusion and Canaries newspapers; how newspapers have being showed a reality harder and harder to Canarians since the beginning of present economic crisis, and if these texts keep specific journalistic aims -giving information and guidance about the importance of these facts- and social aims -educating and being useful to free changed of opinions-.
