Abstract

It is increasingly difficult to ignore the importance of mobile applications and social networks in the daily evolution and professional performance. In recent years, with the appearance of smartphones, there is a growing interest in the study of the introduction of mobile devices in classrooms and in university teaching that is worth exploring. The objective of this experience was to use ICTs to promote 2.0 innovation through the preparation of a net portfolio through the introduction of apps and social networks in the teaching of the subject Color in the Degree in Design at the University of La Laguna. This work was conceived as an exploratory study of the features of apps for the creation of color palettes and of the opportunities offered by social networks for the exchange of information in the training process with netfolio. The methodology consisted, in the first place, in carrying out an initial survey on the use of the smartphone and social networks among the participants. Subsequently, several works were carried out on the use of color using mobile apps and websites, and the social network Pinterest. Despite the daily use of social networks by students, the results indicate that with the introduction of these in teaching activities there was no great impact on their relationships and information exchange. These results suggest the possibility of an error in the approach of the project or in the selection of the social network that are analyzed.
