Abstract

The current national and international context demands professionals with bilingual skills. In particular, the financial sector requires the development of English communication competences and it is necessary to introduce them during the university degree itself. For this reason we propose to adapt the contents and didactic materials of the Banking Management course to the bilingual environment, putting into practice a specific methodology that takes advantage of the possibilities of such a subject so closely linked to the present. The general objective is the design and implementation of activities and resources in order to foster English learning. This will improve the skills of analysis, synthesis, teamwork, oral expression and communication, leadership, internationalization, information management, critical reasoning and autonomous learning. In summary, to improve the students’ capacities to carry out a competitive and effective professional activity; with the consequent promotion of their employability, exchange possibilities and mobility, which in turn will increase the attractiveness and competitiveness of our university. The methodology is based on the project work concept, following the Content and Language Integrated Learning model (CLIL), which promotes the learning of contents while using the foreign language.
