Abstract

In 2008, technicians from the Office for the Use and Management of the Teno Rural Park and the Buenavista Town Council contacted teachers from the ULL with the aim of materialising an agreement to carry out an evaluation in the form of a pilot test of the Masca Nature Centre. With this infrastructure was intended to enhance the ordering of tourism in the village and ravine of Masca, which receives about half a million visitors per year with a very diverse supply and little prominence of a perspective of endogenous development. After certain considerations, it was concluded that the development of this project could involve students from different disciplines and academic levels, so that it would constitute a training activity of great potential value in the field of different subjects. This text presents the main milestones in the development of this project, as well as its main learning outcomes.
