Abstract
This paper analyzes the role played by the canaries in the wars of independence of Venezuela from its runup to completion in the battle of Carabobo and the naval of Lake Maracaibo. Analyzes the different positions taken in each of their different social sectors, which was broadly similar to that of the entire Venezuelan society.
