Abstract
The management of agricultural waste has different characteristics compared to that of household waste and, in the case of Spain, there is a substantial lack of theoretical and methodological reflections on the matter. This paper, based on the author’s professional experience and on a series of case studies carried out by her in Spain and in the Canary Island, seeks to provide preliminary elements on these issues. It focuses on the spatial dimension of the problem of waste and agricultural by-products and identifies other key elements that structure the current situation.
