Abstract
Are Spaniards concerned with current regional differences in health? Are we indifferent to the fact that some regions in Spain have considerably higher life expectancy in good health than others? Does concern about territorial imbalances in health policy -stated in the own Health Care Act-, really have a social support? If so, how much health would we willing to give up in order to reduce regional inequalities in health? and, what can modern Welfare Economics do to guide policy makers, once social preferences about inequalities in health are known?
