Résumé

The pedagogical training of the teachers in the islands between 1849-1914 was inferior to the instrumental subjets and those of an encyclopedical character. Among the contents of the program of the teachers some elementary know-hows of teaching and school organization were demanded. Nevertheless, the constant legislative changes gave rise to an irregular presence of the Sciences of Education in the curriculum of teachers in the islands. Also, the own trajectory of the institution in La Laguna marked the evolution of these studies with a clear differenciation between some students and others, since the training of the female teachers was limited until 1902 date in which the Elementary Teachers' Training College was created
