Zusammenfassung
There are many studies, using a range of different tasks, which have explored alternative ways of analyzing verbal moods. Sometimes, indeed, functional perspectives on moods usage have not been included. In this paper I try to describe some of indicative and subjunctive uses determined not only by the thematic role of the verb but also taking the reference as a important stage of the syntactic-semantic description. Following this metholology, future studies may go into further detail concerning the mood theory, being the main goal how well these usages serves the needs of the users.
