Abstract
The various theories of the world that were developed from Antiquity until the appearance of the Copernican model were articulated from one of the following two perspectives: the physical/real one, which followed the Aristotelian system, and the astronomical-geometrical one, taken as a mathematical exercise to explain the movement of the heavenly bodies, but not considered truthful.
