Abstract
The paper aims to show the reading of some ideas of W. James proposed by van Fraassen in recents articles. In particular, the topics related with the definition of a new Empiricism and its relationships with Pragmatism. This perspective helps to present a different image about some clasic topics in Philosophy of Science. In particular, the elements and context in which a rational change of opinion like a scientific revolution takes place.
