Abstract

The monogenetic volcanoes has been usually identified as single landforms with a small effects of geomorphodynamic processes, producing a monotonous relief. However in Pedro Gil ridge (Tenerife, the Canary Islands) the study of territorial distribution pattern of volcanoes and its morphometrical and geomorphological features allow distinguish a big geomorphological variety of volcanoes; furthermore, we can see relationships between volcanic and erosives processes happened along the construction time of this ridge. So, this geological structure is the most complex of them in the Canary Archipelago. On the other hand, the detailed study of volcanoes can be very useful to know the volcanic hazard in this area of Tenerife island.
