Zusammenfassung
The aim of this article is to present our caveats concerning the usefulness of the prohibition of wearing the Islamic veil in French schools in order to avoid discrimination against women. This topic will also lead us to further discussion and analysis of the non-religious nature of our educational system and society. We will come to the conclusion that legislation about standards of behaviour cannot possibly be the only means of reaching a solution; instead, education seems the best way of accomplishing the social conviction that is required.
