Resumo
Studies of rests of plant origin (wood, charcoal...) in the funerary sites of the Canary Archipelago are lacking among archaeological works. However, the abundance of materials lets their study using different approaches: species identification, combustible election, symbol or cultual values ... With this objective, we used the results of the antracological analysis of the Arenas-l. These results are compared to different sources: to written documents, to artefacts of plant origin and to the antracological analysis of one caves of contemporary rooms and adjacent: Las Estacas-l. To conclude, we found that Pinus canariensis and Juniperus turbinata ssp. Canariensi are the most common species in the funerary sites. These species, with Olea europaea ssp. ceraslformis, could have a symbolic and cultural value
