Resumo

The files of forest demarcations are a so urce of information of first category to study the forest dynamic of Tenerife. The interpretation of the data provided by these documents together with other sources, such as forest catalogues and the historical cartography, allow to reconstitue the geographic and historical sequen ce of these forests from century XVII to the present time.
