Zusammenfassung
This article tries to gather the individual history of certain types of dress using lexicography as the main tool of analysis, in order to contribute to a Dress History. For this purpose, several Arabic loanwords in Spanish or arabisms related to clothes have been selected. In addition, the selected words share a Greek etymon. On these premises, we have tried to construct a brief chronicle of each one of them, and thanks to the method applied, bring closer the history of language to that one of the daily life.
