Estudio comparativo de las principales zonas turísticas de Tenerife y de su capacidad de atracción

Abstract

The objective ofthis work is to determine an analysis model that allows us to consider the attraction capacity that the different tourist zones from the island ofTenerife exert on the tourists who visit them. It is possible to understand the attraction like the capacity of a zone to satisfy the expectations with the visitors. F or it, we will consider the different factors that compose product-destination in tourism and the expectations that these have generated i,J.l the tourists received during year 2005 in each one of the considered zones, as well as the degree of satisfaction of such. The analysis of the results obtained when applying the model ofRasch, as more appropriate and novel instrument to analyze the latent variable in this study -the capacity of attraction of the tourist zones of the island- will not only allow to identify which are the best altematives but also to facilitate the identification of which they are the concrete measures to adopt, as much within a global strategy for each group of zones that are oriented to a same type of tourism, as for each concrete destination
