Abstract

The catalogue of the fishes of the Marine Reserve of "La Graciosa e islotes al norte de Lanzarote" is presented, without the small mesopelagic fishes, based on the information obtained from several investigation expeditions from 1994 to date. The total number of species known is 259 (47 chondrichthyes and 212 actinopterygii). Also, a zoogeographic analysis is made, besides a valuation of the recent arrival of tropical fishes in relation to the incre- ment of the water temperature at the end of the 80's.
