Résumé

This article analyzes the activity of the major notaries of the Council of Tenerife across the quantitative analysis of the books of minutes included between 1558, moment in which there was created the second major notary of the Council and 1835 year in which the Council of island was suppressed definitively. The study of the series of information obtained about the inventory of 72 books of minutes, allows to know how the notaries of the Council were working and to detect the changes that were produced throughout the time in his manners of organization of the work, as well as the effects of such changes in the production and composition of the documentary series of books of minutes
