Abstract
Many of the short narrative texts that Ramón Gómez de la Serna grouped under the terms of caprichos and disparates can be classified nowadays as genuine short-short stories. The relationship between these and the two series of prints by Francisco de Goya entitled Los Caprichos and Los Disparates goes beyond being a mere nominal matter, since it involves a set of aesthetic links between both authors.
