Resumen

Objetivo principal: Conocer las prácticas y actividades que la evidencia científica recomienda en la valoración inicial y tratamiento del casi-ahogamiento e hipotermia por inmersión para elaborar una guía de actuación. Metodología empleada: Se realizó una revisión bibliográfica en las principales bases de datos biomédicas, Pubmed, Cochrane, Enbase, Database, Sciene Direct, entre otras. Resultados principales: Se describen las prácticas más recomendables para la valoración y tratamiento inicial del paciente casi-ahogado con o sin hipotermia por inmersión asociada. Conclusión principal: El seguimiento de los protocolos basados en la evidencia científica actual permite aumentar el índice de supervivencia y minimizar las secuelas
