Abstract

Case Report: 66-year-old woman, with personal history of SAPHO Syndrome, comes to our hospital affected by a decrease of her VA associated to miodesopsias and photopsias in her right eye for 3 days. In biomicroscopy we find some pigmentary deposits in anterior capsule, appearing in funduscopy macular edema without vitreoretinal traction, in the context of a reactivation of her syndrome. Discussion: SAPHO Syndrome does not usually show ocular manifestations, in such cases it appears associated with hidradenitis suppurativa. Ophthalmologic symptoms consist of bilateral acute anterior uveitis, proptosis and queratitis, there is not much literature describing these cases. We show a case report of cyatoid macular edema in a reactivation of SAPHO Syndrome, as an entity not described in literature.
