Abstract
In this paper 11 floristic novelties: Acalypha brachystachya, Amaranthus albus, Arctotheca calendula, Cyperus gracilis, Chenopodium glaucum, Hydrocotyle bowlesioides, Kyllinga brevifolia, Paspalum notatum, Pycreus mundii, Sclerophylax spinescens and Youngia japonica, collected in Tenerife are reported. From them 8 are new records to the Canary Islands and 4 are also new records to the Spanish territory. They are highly invasive xenophytes and such behaviour is observed in the early naturalization stages. This aspect is of great importance for the danger of invasion of the unique Canarian endemic ecosystems
