Abstract
Benthopleustophytes spherical groups ('ball-like" "algal-balls" or "pellets") are described for the first time for the Canary Islands. Valonia aegagropila is a Chlorophyte which dominates the macrophyte communities in spring in Charco de San Gines. Lanzarote.
