Resumo

Transnational Feminism is working hard to guarantee the human rights of girls and women all around the world in the age of globalization. Firstly, I mention some of the most important moments of this process of consolidation through international meetings and the redirection of human rights activism. Secondly, I refer to the history of feminism, to its waves, focusing in the construction of political agendas that in the last decades have nurtured the multidimensional transnational feminist political agenda. And finally, as conclusion, Transnational Feminism has taken the responsibility to analyze and react against militarization, the neoliberal effects of increasing inequality and religious fundamentalisms all over the world. These three global phenomena are causing a serious backlash that undermines women´s human rights.
