Abstract
The opposition to Franco's regime has its own manifestations and rythms in every one of the nations the Spanish state consists of, even though we find similarities and complicities too. In the project that we present here, we analyse how the emergent communist tradition and the nationalism lead to, not without complications, a renewed generation of leaders and political impulses to confront the opposition to Franco's regime in the last fifteen years. The leaders that were forged in the early seventies, were the main actors at the front line of the democratic transition that started with the death of the dictator in 1975
