Abstract
On the occasion of the recent death of the Professor Granjel, a brief profile of his outstanding work has been carried out. The study of his teaching and researching shows a great personality including an important academic master, a relevant scholar in Spanish literature and particularly the inventor of the History of Spanish Medicine as a new epistemic category.
