Resumo
Cyberbullying is a form of harassment, abuse and intimidation peer through new information and communication technologies. It present a study on this problem in young Canary Islands, specifically Tenerife. We interviewed 1261 young Tenerife (671 girls and 590 boys), aged between 13 and 18 who study 2º, 3º and 4º of ESO. The percentage of Cyberbullying victims prevalence was 8.7% men and 14.1% women through Internet and 11,6% men and 9,7% women through mobile pone. The percentage of stalkers was 11.6% men and 8% women. It is necessary to develop effective tools for the detection and prevention programs.
