Abstract

Forms of treatment (nominal and pronominal) are one of the most important topics in Dialectology and Sociolinguistics, because, among otherreasons,they often changefrom one generation to the next.In this paper, we describe three particular uses of certain nominal forms of treatment, which are respectively characteristic of three of the Canary Islands: Gran Canaria, Tenerife and La Palma.
