Résumé

Case report: 59-year-old high myopic male patient, best corrected visual acuity (BCVA) of counting fingers at 2 meters and retinal detachment associated to foveosquisis and macular hole in his right eye (RE). He underwent vitrectomy with inner limiting membrane (ILM) peeling, associated with macular buckling (MB). Anatomical and functional improvements were observed, both in the immediate postoperative and long-term period. No significant complications secondary to surgical treatment were perceived. Discussion: The association of vitrectomy with ILM peeling and MB seems to be an appropriate treatment option for retinal detachment secondary to a macular hole and retinoschisis in highly myopic eyes with a posterior staphyloma.
