Abstract

The Partido Nacionalista Canario (PNC) has had several stages. First, the result of its creation by the canarian emigration in the early twentieth century. Would not impact on the archipelago until the late 70s, but his electoral development would not be until 1991. From there, it begins a second stage in which were an active partner in Coalición Canaria (CC), formation who leave in 1998 to found a year later the Federación Nacionalista Canaria (FNC). This project was a boost to the canary nationalism that was not under CC, but his career ended in 2003. From there, PNC faces a third stage, where it has opted for the unity of the canarian nationalism, first by participating in the elections together with CC and since 2013 integrated into them
